The Month of March

First off, a bunch of baby pictures:  Introducing Ian to our friend Cesar He really is smiling now! Not just in his sleep :) All my babies to compare. We don't stray too far from the mold. Starting at top left: Ian, Charlotte, Imogen, Wesley, Jack. I got really adventurous last weekend and Ian and I joined everyone on a river/campo/asado day trip. Ian Randall Pace born March 1  8 lbs 12 oz, pretty long and practically perfect After watching my due date come and go we decided our baby had cooked long enough and asked if the doctor would be willing to induce me. This happened to be the second day of Carnival and his clinic wasn't open, so he made a house call to decide if I was in a good place to be induced. We've discovered house calls are one of the perks of Argentinian health care. He gave us the green light and that afternoon we headed to the hospital to have our baby.  The doctor has a midwife that helps him. She turned out to not be my favorite person....but she did her job and essentially got that baby out all by herself. Maybe she had a Carnival party she wanted to get to that night, but she was bound and determined to have baby come....which is what we asked for I guess. All turned out well in the end, but baby swallowed some amniotic fluid and had to spend the first night in the NICU. He's 100% okay and doing
